Ever have a secret that you want to tell but you can't? It gets a lot worse when it's a case of you can't tell yet. I have- in fact, I have been really resisting the urge to go public with something that we have been working on for a while, but it's finally time!

There are a lot of things in life that I don't like and I could easily fill volumes of books with my complaining about things in general and with alarming specificity. I really could, as evidenced by the fact that this website has completely grown from my ability to complain about things and tell the world what I like and, more often what I don't like.

The 2017 SHOT Show (Shooting, Hunting and Outdoors Tradeshow) is just about over now and we have seen just about all that was announced there, and in case you have missed some of it on our forum, here's a bit of a recap!

We've seen the 3rd Generation Micro Tool Clip that was released early, we've seen the SYNC II that SOG allowed us to announce, and we've seen leaked photos from the new catalog- now be prepared to see all 54 full color pages of the entire 2017 catalog in this official release from SOG!

It is that time again- time to have your say and make your voice heard! I know many of the readers out there may be sick of voting by now, but trust me, this time it's something important!  It's the Official 2016 Multitool.org Multitool Of The Year Award, and we want you to help us choose the winner!

SOG has chosen Multitool.org to release some EXCLUSIVE information about a new multitool being released in 2017 called the Sync II, and it looks like a very cool new design.  I consider this a huge honor, and I am sureeveryone here is going to be just as thrilled to see the new Sync as I am.  As usual, you can share your thoughts and read what others have to say on our forum!

It's that time of year, and if you are thinking of asking for a tool for Christmas, or getting one for someone else but aren't sure what to get, here are some ideas (in no particular order!) on what to look for!  

Multitools have been around for a long time and even before Tim Leatherman came out with original PST the multitool had a purpose; it was a pocket tool box. For years companies have made multitools a jack of all trades and cram as much as they could into a tool so someone didn't have to go back to the tool box unless they really needed too. That's the reason we love multitools, they are our constant companion that can tackle any task.

Things have changed over the past few years and there is a trend developing to meet a niche or demand in the tool market. Companies are releasing minimalist style tools that feature a basic set of tools and leaving out stuff that they feel a person would not use on a daily basis. I'm not sure if the design changes are because of culture or city/urban life but they they seem to be a hit with people concerned with needing a multitool no matter what their profession.

Whatever magical creature you may think brings new toys during the holdays has done SOG a big favor and visited Wal Mart with a brand new SOG set, complete with a surprise to make serious multitool collectors rejoice! 

With all of the excitement currently centering (no pun intended) around the Gerber Center-Drive you may have missed that SOG has begun hinting about some new cool stuff they will be releasing soon.
