SOG Supports Nauti-Boys

Written by

DafyakIf I had to pick a passion in my life (beyond Multitool.org of course!) it would probably be outdoor adventure- and to me, there’s no adventure like a paddling adventure. I spend as much time as possible every year in the seat of one of my kayaks, exploring places that many other people will never see. Naturally, when SOG sent me an email to let people know they were supporting a rowing team going for one (or more!) world records in crossing the Atlantic, I took notice!

The team call themselves The Nauti Buoys are competing in a race of 3,000 miles, starting in Antigua and finishing in the Canary Islands. You can read all about the Nauti Buoys on their site.Nauti buoys

SOG asks:

Ever wonder what kind of gear you would take on a 3000 mile trip rowing across the Atlantic?  We partnered with The Nauti Buoys to find out!

And the answer is obvious!

Huge congratulations to SOG for supporting an adventure team like the Nauti Buoys- in fact, it is something I would personally like to see more of, and I find it odd that there are not more recognizable brands listed on the boat of a 76 year old Russian paddler who is currently halfway through a solo southern ocean circumnavigation.

You can read about Fedor Konyukhov and his amazing journey here.

FedorWhich I suppose begs the question- what brands would you like to see supporting what sports or adventures? Have your say on our forum, or drop me a note with your thoughts, questions or comments at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. And of course, best of luck to Fedor and the Nauti Buoys from all of us here at Multitool.org!
